Kalamba News Round Up #12

Oct 9, 2020

Another month gone and we are entering the last quarter of 2020. Time flies when you’re having fun!

In preparation for Halloween coming up, we launched a spooky new title in September, Joker Lanterns. This 6×4 game is a modern take on a classic fruit slot but with added pumpkin lanterns symbols acting as wilds, bringing some frightening excitement to the gameplay.

The release is Kalamba’s fifth Joker title, with previous versions such as Joker Supreme and Joker Max being favourites with players. We love launching seasonal versions of our most popular games and we are sure that Joker Lanterns will be a hit this Halloween.

September also saw the global launch of Big Win Replay! Part of our Remote Gaming server and promotional tools suite, Bullseye, the feature allows players to view recent Big Wins from the game they’re playing and allows operators to capture and inform players about Big Wins so players’ fingers are always on the pulse. See more here.

We also had a great time at SBC’s Digital Summit Barcelona earlier in the month where we met up with new and old industry colleagues and discussed hot topics in our sector. We also hosted a slot tournament for delegates to try our games, with our lucky winners walking away with up to €250 in Amazon vouchers!

In the industry press we gave our two cents on the UK Gambling Commission’s consultation which looks at online slot game design and whether Losses Disguised as Wins (LDW) should be ‘toned down’.

Keep your eyes open for our fun-filled October game release Pawprints of Purrsia. This cat-themed slot is set in the magical realm of Purrsia and offers plenty of opportunity for players to win big. The slot combines a fun and quirky theme but with a game play and feature set that can offer some serious rewards. It’ll be a fur-midable addition to any serious, or not so serious, operator’s lobby.
